Although I've been working out steadily for 5 months and seen some very nice gains, (220lbs - 175lbs, 6'2" male, 32 years old) at this point, I still have a belly and some beautiful love handles that I can't seem to get rid of. For the first 2-3 months I was doing a lot of cardio (5-6 days a week) and gym machines, then as I learned more about lifting, went to 6 mini-meals a day and free weights with less cardio (2 times a week). I've seen some nice gains on my pecks and arms, but my *much-smaller-but-still-there* belly still is winking at me.
At this point, I continue to read and research things on the net about lifting gains (I'm looking for a swimmer/brad pitt type of look, not AHHRNOLD) I keep seeing a lot of calorie intake and less cardio. I just simply (or not so much) am asking, if I should continue to stradle the fence, or jump all into lifting, or all into cardio (light calorie) lifestyle.
I very much feel as though I'm stradling the gap right now and maybe would see more gains if i picked a side. Any advice would be very helpful. TY.
