Version 7.17 Install issues... I broke it really bad :(

Postby Matthew J » Tue Sep 13, 2011 1:39 pm

Hi Greg,

I uninstalled version 7.16 and started to install Version 7.17. When I try to install with all of the default settings I get this message:

Capture 1.PNG

Strange I would have thought 11.2 GB would have been enough space to install CT7, It hasn't been an issue before?

I selected the "Custom" setup type and it started to install the program. However this added the following folders to my desktop:

"[TARGETDIR]", "[TARGETDIR]help", "[TARGETDIR]reports", "[TARGETDIR]sounds" and "[]Windows" I also recieved the following message:

Capture 2.PNG

I selected OK and then Finish.

The normal Crosstrainer7 Icon wasn't installed on the desktop But it was listed under the programs directory.. Initially it couldn't launch... I later found it in the "[TARGETDIR]" directory and I was able to run it, noticed it had a default user named "greg" set up.

So I uninstalled it using "Program and Features" and got the follwoing message:

Capture 3.PNG

I then deleted the files it created on my desktop. Again I'm running Windows7

Let me know what is next......

Thanks!

Matthew J.

Hi Greg,

Tried the new install and got the same errors as listed above... Only difference was that the uninstall removed the directories that it installed on the desktop...

Thanks!

Matthew

Also, I just created another setup, uploaded it to the web and then downloaded and installed in on Windows 7 and the install worked fine here. So one more time please Matthew :)
